How Virtuous Person Uplifts Others

In our life, through all the ups and downs, the most valuable thing is to live with kindness, always striving to help and support others to the best of our ability. By doing so, we help others become better. For their strengths, we offer wholehearted support and praise; for their mistakes or misfortune, we refrain from mocking or abandoning them. This approach is the key to standing firm in life and succeeding in relationships.

Confucius said in The Analects: "A noble person helps others achieve a good and does not assist in wrongdoing. A petty person does the opposite." Essentially, a noble person embodies "tolerance," supporting others in positive endeavors and never aiding harmful actions, while petty person does the reverse.

Why never Outshine the Master

Those who can help others achieve goodness are truly compassionate and virtuous. This requires a broad heart,  free from jealousy or hidden agendas. For those with narrow minds or envious hearts, this is a difficult task.

For individuals who understand strategy, helping others succeed is the highest form of compassion. They are often willing to let others surpass them, even offering their own shoulders for others to stand on and go further. When others succeed and receive applause, they too fell joy and celebrate.

Success does not always need to belong to oneself. When others achieve something great, especially something good, why shouldn't we rejoice? By applauding others' success with gratitude, we share in their joy and earn more support from those around us.

Helping others succeed requires sincerity and tolerance. This is the hallmark of those whose achieve great things.
