Catching your Students attention
Is your students not listening?, is your students bored when you are discussing their lesson?, is your students not following your instruction?, those are some issues you handle as teacher inside the classroom.
Examine the following, they might help you get noticed and loved by your students.
- If you are saying words daily to same situation, person, and problem, they don't like it. Imagine that you are eating same enticing menu and in the same place daily, do you feel happy and satisfied? Your students want something new and exiting daily, if their favorite game had leveled up, if their favorite teleserye had end or introduce an exciting character, you must also have something new in your lesson so that they will be excited and adjust for you, but if you have nothing new in your techniques, you will adjust yourself for them.[post_ads]
- Do you have same hair style, accent, clothes, shoes, food, mannerism, and others? Students are easy to get bored, same with us. As we share stories about them, they also share stories about us.
- Make them your friend, invite them, assist them, praise them, motivate them, give them small gifts and not only giving high grades. Sometimes students appreciate gifts and time rather than high grades. [post_ads_2]
- Visit them in their homes if you can, students who will enjoy your company will missed it soon. They will be coming back to you after the years that they are under your care.
- Treat them like your real kids at home, some students are abandoned by their parents or their parents are there with them but they don't know how to get along with their kids.
- Continue to adjust and adapt to change, stay flexible and ready. Never stop learning.
