Photoshop: The Select Menu

There are several options that can be chosen to control and refine how areas of a photograph are selected for individual manipulation.

• Making  selections. Photoshop has many different tools and commands that can be used,  each with different application. There are times when changes will be required to just part of an image, leaving the rest of the photograph intact. To do this, make a selection.
• Marching ants. Want a better description, this line is usually referred to as marching ants. A black and white moving line highlights a selection.
