Needed Materials
- Chopped fish or fish trash such as gills, entrails, golden snail (shell removed) or meat scrap and rejects.
- Old/ used pail
- Manila paper (unused)
- Muscovado sugar
- Plastic straw
- clean water (no chlorine or other chemical compound)
Procedure
- Wash fish with clean water, allow to drain excess water. No need to remove the gills, skills and entrails.
- Cut the fish into an inch with a sharp knife in a chopping board.
- Put the chopped fish into pail or container and add sugar or molasses (1:1 ratio)
- Mix with a wooden ladle until all materials are coated with molasses or sugar.
- Cover the mixture with a clean net and put weight to compress the mixture.
- Wipe clean the mouth of pail and cover it with two layer manila paper and secure it with a heavy duty rubber bands.
- Label the container, write the date of processing and expected date of harvesting.
- Store the concoction in a cool dry place and ferment for 30 days.
- Extract the liquid after 30 days.
Usage Procedure
100 ml extract to 16 liters of water spray.
